This past weekend Harvest Moon orchestrated one of our biggest Wedding Weekends yet. Harvest Moon relies on the team effort and coordination of kitchen staff, captains, bartenders, and servers to execute a seamless event. Behind the scenes, our staffing coordinator Che Stratos takes the reigns on coordinating logistics. On any given day, Che is interviewing, hiring, staffing, human resourcing, managing glitches, and interfacing with Clients and Harvest Moon’s Event Planners.
Our four huge events this past weekend at King Family Vineyards, Prince Michel Winery, Del Fosse, and Castle Hill having gone so smoothly is testimony to all of Che’s hard work. Between early setup Thursday and Saturday for the nearly 500 person guest count for Saturday’s event at Castle Hill, the other 3 large events, and HMC’s staff spread miles over Central Virginia, HMC’s ‘Den Mother’ had her hands full as she coordinated over 71 staff people over 4 days. Her background in food service and public relations lend her the ability to manage a menage of scheduling requests – fitting the right people and personalities with the right events.
Harvest Moon’s Event Planner Christina Webster reinforced that Che is a crucial liason for the Event Planners to ensure staffing is sufficient for all facets of an Event. Che is the hub of information to be communicated to all staff and is the middle man between all the team players to ensure complete event success. Event Planner Kelly Mahanes chimed in on the importance of Che interviewing and staffing appropriately to maintain HMC’s level of service and her ability to match incoming staff’s skills with HMC’s standards. Kelly added that the best part is that Che is so fun to work with!
Not only does she schedule and coordinate all of these staff, Che is on board at the event as Lead Event Captain to maintain HMC’s level of service and run the event on-site. Carrying out Harvest Moon’s vision, Che is instrumental in monitoring and guiding staff on-site while interfacing all the client’s needs throughout the duration of the big event.
She even had a chance to snag a few photos before the guests arrived at the venue…

Check out this recent radio spot on 91.9 of Che explaining a bit about her background in Charlottesville…
